Captain Dave Yoder
Meet Capt. Dave Yoder your host and head guide at Saltwater Fly Guides.
Captain Dave Yoder has spent more than half his life guiding in some of the world’s most spectacular locations, including Colorado, Alaska, and Australia, and has appeared on such programs as ESPN Outdoors and Buccaneers and Bones.
He currently makes his home in Florida, where he has spent the past two decades studying and stalking tarpon, bonefish, permit, snook, and redfish in the Keys and Everglades National Park. His wealth of experience on the water affords his clients the chance to catch trophy fish in some of the world’s premier game fishing destinations.
In addition to guiding in the Florida Keys, Capt. Dave spends the fall fishing out of Hopedale, Louisiana for the legendary “bull reds” on the flats of the Delta marsh. These native red drum grow to more than 50 pounds and move into the shallows of the Gulf every fall.
He returns to the Florida Keys in the winter to help clients land bonefish and backcountry tarpon and continues to offer guided trips in the spring and summer for migrating tarpon and permit.
